Chamber Supports Mandatory Masking and Vaccination Verification
Please see the below message from the Greater Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce.
Today the Government of Saskatchewan announced the re-introduction of mandatory masking in public spaces and mandatory proof of vaccination for entry into most establishments and venues with some exemptions. Details here.
Importantly, no limits have been placed on gatherings sizes or legal capacity in businesses.
To support businesses, legislative changes are coming to provide legal protection for businesses confronted with non-compliance in their workplaces and establishments.
The Business Response Team (BRT) has also been reactivated to advise businesses on these measures and provide support:

“The government has struck the right balance between sticking it to COVID without stalling our economic recovery,” said Jason Aebig, CEO.
“The targeted and timely measures announced today that will enable businesses to continue operating safely without impeding capacity. Masking and verification of vaccination are clearly the best ways to keep our economy open while slowing rates of transmission and reducing the pressures on our health system.”
“It’s clear that businesses will be affected by today’s announcement. But they are resilient, capable and ready based on what they’ve done to adapt over the last 20 months, the tools now in place and the legislative protections that are coming. They need and deserve our support. It’s safe. They’re open. And, our city and province is ready to rebound from this setback to keep recovering.”
